Photography as Art...

andrewvphotography: Since when have we gotten away from the idea of photography as art? I understand that various genres of photography may at times become more commercial or product related than art related. But, more and more, I’m hearing people criticizing a photo for the wrong reasons. Like it’s actually against the rules to have a photo which is blown out in areas…. Or false colors...

Inspiration for a 365 project?

lifexist: i love the idea of a photo a day for a year. wonder what inspired you?

doug: I was on holiday with lots of time for photography and it was a couple of days away from new year. I kind of randomly came up with the idea of taking and posting a photo a day for a year. I did some research and then found that heaps of people do it but I'd not really heard of it before. In 2009 I made a committment to publish an article a day on my sports photoblog and did it for 200 days so blogging isn't new. After reading about other people's 365 projects everyone said they learned a lot and were glad they did it, so I decided to make the committment :)
